Product Name and Model Number Requirements Bluetooth Support September 03, 2026 17:59 Updated Introduction When providing Product Details, Members are encouraged to include all variants of your product in the listing in order to represent the most accurate listing of your qualified Bluetooth® products in our Qualified Product Database. In this article Product Name Model Number Product Name The product name should be the same as how the product is being sold, marketed, and packaged. It must also include your company's trademark. Customs officials may compare the exact name on the product packaging with the product name as it appears in the Qualified Product Database. If the same product has different names in different global regions, you must qualify each of those variations. If the product name changes in multiple places (e.g., product packaging vs. website vs. online retailer), each variation must be qualified. Using placeholders and/or multiple product names in a single product qualification is considered a violation and may be subject to enforcement actions. Each unique product name must be qualified separately. Model Number If the model number (orderable part number, serial number, etc.) is being printed on the package or product or is visible to the consumer, you must qualify all the model numbers exactly as displayed to the consumer. If the model number is not public to the consumer, you can use any internal non-placeholder number/identifier. Using placeholders and multiple model numbers in a single product qualification is considered a violation and may be subject to enforcement actions.
